Our Doctors

| Dr. Allen Dunn earned his undergraduate and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham from which he graduated with honors. His professional affiliations and memberships are numerous and include the American Optometric Association, Southern Council of Optometrists, Alabama Optometric Association, Southeast Optometric Zone, and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. His interests include dry eye treatment and corneal refractive therapy.
Dr. Dunn is a native of Troy and founded Family Eye Center in 1983. He is a member of the Troy Rotary Club and is active in his church. He recently served as Chairman of the Deacons at First Baptist Church of Troy in 2005.
He is a licensed pilot and enjoys flying, sports, hunting, and spending time time with his family. He lives in Troy with his wife Gayle and they have three children - Morgan, Betsey,and Kiley.

| Dr. David Hamlin joined Family Eye Center in 1998 after graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Prior to that, he attended Troy State University where he received his BS in biology in 1993.
As a professional, his activities and affiliations are numerous. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Alabama Optometric Association, Southern Council of Optometrists, and the Southeast Alabama Optometric Zone. In addition, he served on the Alabama Board of Optometry from 2003-2006. He currently serves as a Troy University Athletic Department consultant and his interests include sports vision and dry eye treatment.
Locally, Dr. Hamlin is an active member of First Baptist Church of Troy where he serves as a choir member, Sunday School teacher, and deacon. He is also a member of the Troy Rotary Club. His interests include sports, hunting, singing, and spending time with his family. He is happily married to the former Melanie D'Andrea of Troy and they have three children - Taylor, Dawson, and Graham.
